As a Fiber Optic Technician, you will perform testing and splicing of dark fiber in data centers
across the United States. You will use tools such as OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers
to install, verify and restore fiber connectivity. This position involves frequent travel, typically up
to two weeks at a time.

Technicians must be able to work independently, communicate clearly with analysts and team
members, and accurately document their work. Candidates should have experience with meters
or electronics tools, and a basic understanding of fiber optics or networking is preferred.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Prior experience with basic test equipment
2. Understanding of fiber optic networks and basic networking concepts
3. Ability to identify server racks, trace cables, and read labeling
4. Strong independent work ethic and ability to solve problems in the field
5. Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to pass background checks and drug testing, clean
during record
6. Must reside within a reasonable distance of a commercial airport
7. U.S. work authorization required; valid passport is a plus
8. OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to complete within 30 days)

Communication Expectations:
1. WhatsApp is the official communication platform for team messaging. You are expected
to check and respond to messages promptly during work hours and when travel or
assignments are pending.
2. Weekly team meetings occur every Friday at 1500 CDT via Google Meet. Attendance is
mandatory unless pre-approved absence..
3. Job assignments and travel schedules are communicated Friday afternoons. Technicians
must be available and responsive as assignments may change late in the day.
4. Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with supervisors and colleagues,
especially when issues arise in the field.
